As an attorney specializing in intellectual property law, I combine my enthusiasm and expertise in the field with my commitment to represent my clients in the best possible manner. My practice is primarily focused on patent cases, where I assist international clients in cross-border disputes. With years of experience, I am now actively involved in cases before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). This focus enables me to effectively tackle complex patent issues and provide strategic advice. In addition to my work as a patent litigator, I offer general advice and handle disputes in the areas of copyright, trademarks, databases, designs, trade names, and trade secrets. I work with a diverse range of clients, primarily multinational corporations and industry-leading businesses.

Beyond my legal practice, I have a strong academic background. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I spent three years as a full-time lecturer and researcher in patent law, copyright law and trademark law (masters) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU University), focusing on both national and international aspects. Since transitioning to legal practice, I have continued to lecture on intellectual property law to master students at the Universiteit van Amsterdam (University of Amsterdam), where I remain actively involved.

Throughout my academic career, I have published various articles and participated in expert panels on policy issues, contributing to the overall improvement of the legal IP framework. I maintain a strong interest in new technological developments and their interplay with IP rights. One of my recent publications calls upon the European legislator to introduce new IP rights for the protection of creations of artificial intelligence.
