My expertise lies in the area of trademarks, copyright and unfair competition law, the latter with a focus on advertising, claims, digital communication and influencers.

I have been advising on all issues of trade mark law for many years. This includes availability searches and international trade mark launches, the management of national and international trade mark portfolios and trade mark litigation, in particular also with cross-border implications.

Another focus of my work is advertising. In addition to advising on product claims and influencer advertising, I also advise companies on the general compliance of large advertising campaigns and their contractual protection.

Through my role as in-house counsel during a secondment for several years and as external counsel for many clients, I understand the challenge of finding the right balance between legal risks and a practical approach.

I regularly publish business-focused articles on trade mark and advertising matters, including the regulation of advertising and the placement and protection of brands on the internet. I am also the author of the section on the application of copyright law in the employment relationship in the German legal commentary 'Praxis des Arbeitsrechts'.
