Bird & Bird is pleased to announce that it has advised Cellnex Telecom SA on the sale of its private networks division to Boldyn Networks Europe Limited.
Cellnex is Europe’s largest operator of wireless telecommunications infrastructure, providing telecom operators access to a wide network of telecommunications infrastructure on a shared-use basis, contributing to reduce access barriers and improving services in the most remote areas.
This complex cross-border transaction required various approvals including from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of the Finnish Government. It involved carve-out reorganisations in the UK, Spain, France and Finland, requiring multi-disciplinary input from Bird & Bird lawyers across eight jurisdictions.
Nick O'Donnell, partner in the Corporate team in the UK, led the deal alongside Pauline Vos, partner in the Corporate team in the Netherlands.
