Bird & Bird advises Seedtag on the acquisition of recognified

Bird & Bird LLP has advised Seedtag Advertising S.L., one of the leading contextual advertising platforms in Europe and Latin America, on the acquisition of Munich-based recognified GmbH.

recognified is a digital advertising company specialising in contextual advertising. With this first acquisition in Germany, Seedtag continues its expansion across Europe and now has offices in Germany, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Benelux, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. This gives the AdTech company not only a presence in the top 5 markets in Europe, but also consolidates its leadership position in contextual AI in Europe and Latin America.

Background for this acquisition is the increased market demand for the benefits of contextual full-stack solutions as well as the ongoing need for innovative, brand-safe and privacy-friendly advertising formats. The integration process of the two companies will take place gradually over the course of 2021. Seedtag will use recognified's existing infrastructure for Germany.
