About Me

I am a member of the International Commercial Group based in our Hong Kong office. I support technology, communications and media clients in Europe and Asia on a broad range of IP, IT, data protection and commercial matters.

Over the years, I advised on a wide range of legal issues relating to technology, communications and media, including (digital) marketing and advertising services, social media and other platforms, design and architecture, IP transactions and licensing, as well as the use and protection of personal and other data. I have also litigated extensively in corporate (governance) and commercial disputes as well as drafted and negotiated a broad variety of complex cross-border commercial contracts. I am dual qualified in the Netherlands and England & Wales.

Prior to joining our firm in 2021, I worked as in-house legal counsel at OMA, a global architecture firm, covering Asia from their Hong Kong office. Before that, I served as in-house legal counsel at IPG, one of the "Big Four" advertising and marketing services conglomerates, covering Europe and Asia from London and Hong Kong. I started my career at a China-focused boutique law firm in the Netherlands, where I trained and practised.

My previous in-house experience gives me a unique insider perspective and understanding of how companies and their legal functions operate, as well as what they want and need from their external lawyer. While counselling creative and tech clients in both Europe and Asia, I earned my place at the table with proactive, pragmatic, high quality advice that focuses on solutions and is sensitive to local circumstances.

My working languages are English, Dutch and Mandarin. I also have limited working proficiency in French and German.
