Maisie Briggs

I am an associate in the Intellectual Property Group based in London, specialising in brand management.

My experience includes advising clients at various stages within the lifecycle of their brand on all aspects of international brand protection and portfolio management. I work with a range of clients, from start-ups to established brands, so understand the variety of legal issues brand owners may face.

I specialise in assisting clients on global rebranding, trade mark oppositions and cancellation proceedings before the UK and EU Intellectual Property Offices. I also provide advice in relation to domain names and company name disputes.

I have experience in advising clients on IP customs registrations and counterfeiting, and work with our teams internationally to put sufficient customs protections in place around the world.

I contribute to the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys Journal on recent trade mark case law, and to our MES publication, MediaWrites. I also help to run our international brands publication, BrandWrites.

I spent time working in a law firm in Rome, and have lived and worked in Argentina. I particularly enjoy working with colleagues in our international network of offices to provide a global perspective for clients.
