About Me
As Counsel in our intellectual property team in Hamburg, my practice focuses on trade mark, design, unfair competition and copyright advice and litigation.
I am a seasoned specialist in intellectual property law and a Certified IP Lawyer ("Fachanwältin für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz"). After several years in the Düsseldorf office, I relocated to our Hamburg office in 2016.Acting for trade mark owners and branding agencies, I have gained experience in developing international trade mark strategies, conducting trade mark clearances and defending trade mark rights before trade mark offices and courts.
Experience
- Secondment to a client's IP legal department, where I gained in-house experience as well as insights into the business of a retailer in the fashion sector.
- Representing the German fashion retailer Anson's and the cycling apparel specialist ASSOS in a complex, multi-national conflict with the British fashion company ASOS, resulting in a global settlement.
- Advising a consumer product company with regard to the acquisition of an international IP-portfolio.

- A doctorate with distinction with a thesis on a foreign trade law topic: 'The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) of the European Community'

- Legal clerkship at the corporate / M&A-department of an international law firm in Düsseldorf and the German Consulate General in New York
