Clarissa Otto

I work as Counsel in our Munich-based intellectual property team, where I mainly advise on trademark, design, copyright and unfair competition law, providing our domestic and international clients with strategic advice and representing them in complex litigation matters.

I represent clients from a wide range of sectors – among them food and beverages, hotel industry, automotive, publishing and media – in a variety of contentious matters before various regional and higher regional courts in Germany as well as the German Federal Patent Court. My experience also extends to non-contentious advice in various trademark, copyright, design and unfair competition matters.

After studying law, I undertook my legal traineeship, which included stints at the German Federal Network Agency, our Düsseldorf office and in-house, at a DAX-listed company in Munich.

Before joining our team, I worked at an international American-based law firm in Düsseldorf, focusing on competition and trademark law and M&A.
