About Me

As a partner in our Frankfurt office and a member of our Intellectual Property Practice Group, I advise our clients on non-technical industrial property rights, in particular in German, European and international trade mark, copyright law, registered design and competition law. My focus is on international brand management and enforcement.

My practice includes the development and implementation of global brand strategies for brands and registered designs, the judicial and out-of-court defence of trade marks, designs and domains against infringement and dilution, as well as the negotiation and creation of transfer agreements, delimitation and licensing agreements. I also have a strong focus on anti-counterfeiting enforcement on a global scale.

I represent our clients before the German patent and trade mark office, the Federal Patent Court, the German civil courts, the European trade mark office and the European Court of Justice, offering extensive knowledge and in-depth experience in multi-jurisdictional trade mark enforcement.

Over the years, I have built up significant experience in advising large international trademark portfolios in numerous industries such as telecommunications, food, fashion, sports and waste management. The legal support of a non-governmental organisation of international sport is also part of my consulting portfolio. In addition, I support and coordinate the global anti-counterfeiting activities of a leading multinational telecommunications company.

In addition, I lecture at the European Business School Oestrich Winkel / Markenakademie and the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt am Main. I have given seminars for the German Brands Association (Deutsche Markenverband e.V.) for over ten years and was a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

I am also an active member of the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Law Committee and the Publication Committee of the European Community Trade Mark Association (ECTA), and of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright (GRUR).
