Bird & Bird advises Mews Systems on acquisition of all shares in HS3 Hotelsoftware

International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Mews Systems GmbH, a leader in hospitality technology and cloud-native property management systems (PMS), on the acquisition of all shares in HS3 Hotelsoftware GmbH & Co. KG.

The acquisition strengthens Mews' presence in Germany and leads to a significant breakthrough in the German market at a time when hotels are increasingly investing in cloud technology. The acquisition was managed by Mews Ventures to accelerate transformation in the hospitality industry, further strengthening the company’s commitment to delivering technology that simplifies operations for modern hoteliers and their guests.

Following a recent $110 million funding, Mews is accelerating its growth and expanding in key markets. Today, Mews is used by over 700 hotels, apartments, hostels, and campsites in the DACH region, and over 30,000 beds in the region are managed via Mews. 76% of Mews customers in Germany are small and medium-sized hotels.

Mews was founded by hoteliers in 2012 and is now used by over 5,000 customers in more than 85 countries. It was developed to optimise operations for modern hoteliers, improve the guest experience and create more profitable businesses. The company has offices in Europe, the United States and Australia.

Founded in 2009, HS3 Hotelsoftware has more than 15 years of experience in helping hotels exceed their guests' expectations and a team with in-depth knowledge of streamlining hotel operations. With over 3,500 customers using its software, HS3 Hotelsoftware is known for its intuitive operation and ability to make processes more efficient.
