I am an employment law and employee relations specialist. My clients operate across a range of industries, from global corporations to small and medium size enterprises.
My advice includes day-to-day employment and HR matters (such as long-term performance/sickness issues), large scale redundancy/re-organisation programmes, the application of TUPE/ARD, and Employment Tribunal litigation. My extensive experience includes several secondments to an international technology company.
I am currently responsible for delivering employment advice to the UK business of a multinational science and technology organisation, and for co-ordinating our advice across Europe. Our international team is truly integrated, collaborating to provide a seamless service. As part of this we provide regular practical training and share knowledge about upcoming developments, for example in the related fields of data protection, artificial intelligence and employee monitoring. Recently I have assisted in the preparation and rollout of template HR documentation, in order to promote consistency and minimise risk. My clients are busy, with competing pressures, and I aim to present the issues and solutions clearly and in a business-oriented manner.
I am particularly interested in how technology can make legal services more streamlined and sophisticated. Beyond 'black letter law', clients are increasingly looking for practical solutions, an understanding of their commercial context, and a strategic partner.
