About Me

I work as a partner here at Bird & Bird in London, specialising in intellectual property. Over the years, I have helped build a market leading practice in trade mark, copyright, design and database rights.

With over 20 years' experience in managing high profile IP disputes, I also specialise in non-contentious work, including global rebranding and worldwide IP protection strategies.

In the non-contentious field, I have managed Monster Energy's trade mark work across Europe and Asia and the re-branding of Everything Everywhere to EE. I also advise Associated Newspapers on its trade mark strategy for the METRO newspaper brand.

You'll find me ranked as top tier practitioner in the Chambers and Legal 500 guides, and as a thought leader in the Who's Who Legal report on international trade mark practitioners. I have served on the UK Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys Designs and Copyright committee since 1996, and was chair of the International Trade Mark Association's European Amicus Brief sub-committee.
