About Me

Here at Bird & Bird, I'm a partner and head of our Intellectual Property group in Denmark where I use my deep-level experience of intellectual property to advise Danish and international businesses, particularly on copyright.

In my role as head of the IP group in Denmark, I manage the department and team structure so we can ensure we have the right lawyers in place for our clients' needs. We provide regular training and skills development to ensure our lawyers achieve the best professional standards required to meet those needs.

I have been advising clients in the music and film industries on every aspect of copyright law for over 25 years, and helping to enforce their intellectual property rights in infringement cases in music, television series and computer games, including combatting piracy and counterfeiting. I have extensive and longstanding expertise in licence, sponsorship and other intellectual property agreements. Furthermore, I advise a number of sports clients on the exploitation of sports rights, domestically and internationally.

Our IP team handles all types of trademark law issues; from the initial registration of a trademark to the follow-up of trademark registration and any issues related to objections and infringements within the trademark legislation. We advise both national and international trademark registrations.

My work also covers business transfers and restructurings where intellectual property law is relevant and I have represented both Danish and international businesses in several significant transactions.

I litigate before the courts; both Danish and foreign arbitration tribunals. I have been admitted to the Danish Bar and I have right of audience before the Danish High Courts and the Danish Supreme Court.
