Lauren Kourie

I'm an associate in our London Intellectual Property team and specialise in brand management.

During my time at Bird & Bird, I have worked across a large number of detailed and complex Intellectual Property matters, both contentious and non-contentious, touching on trade marks, designs and copyright.

My particular area of expertise is brand protection. I advise on all issues arising in the lifecycle of a brand, from the early stages of brand clearance and development, to multi-jurisdictional disputes and enforcement, to international brand strategy and expansion.

I work closely with clients to always ensure their brand strategy is aligned with the commercial interests of the business.

I assist and support clients with their intellectual property portfolios across all sectors, but have a particular passion for the Retail & Consumer sector.

I am a contributor to the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys Journal and BrandWrites (Bird & Bird's international publication on legal and industry related brand news).
