About Me

As a Partner in our Finance & Financial Regulation Practice Group, based in Frankfurt, I specialise in the transport and logistics sectors and have extensive expertise in the cross-border financing and collateralisation of mobile equipment.

Specialising in the cross-border financing of mobile equipment, such as aircraft, railway rolling stock and ships, I am a management committee member of the Rail Working Group, which promotes the implementation of the Luxembourg Rail Protocol to the Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment. My practice also encompasses national and international transport, traffic and logistics law, with a special focus on type-approval and liability aspects of autonomous driving.

Before joining our team, I worked as a Principal Associate in the Frankfurt office of a magic circle law firm and as an in-house lawyer at KfW Bankengruppe, dealing with asset-based financing as well as general banking and banking supervision issues.

I was also a Professor of German and international commercial and corporate law, finance and tax law at the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn.

I am a member of the German Association of Transport Sciences (DVWG), the Society for the Promotion of Inland Navigation Law at the University of Mannheim, the Interdisciplinary Institute for Automated Systems and the German-American Lawyers Association (DAJV).
