About Me

I am a partner in our Dispute Resolution team in Singapore. I specialise in advising on cross-border commercial disputes, with a particular focus on achieving the most practical and commercially viable resolution for my clients.

I am a UK- and India-qualified international dispute resolution lawyer, with a particular focus on advising on arbitration and mediation matters. I also advise clients in investigations regarding anti-bribery and corruption issues. As a part of our India steering group, I also assist international clients with co-ordination of legal advice for their businesses in India, and Indian clients for their international businesses.

I have experience of advising on arbitration matters under many international arbitration Rules, including, AIAC, CIETAC, ICC, LCIA, MCIA, SIAC, SICC and UNCITRAL. While I have a particular focus on disputes emanating from the oil & gas, construction and infrastructure sectors, my advisory and representational experience ranges across many other sectors like, mining, shipping, railways, telecoms, private equity, banking & finance, and hotels & leisure.

I have been fortunate to advise and represent my clients on many critical and high-value disputes, including one of the highest valued claims filed at the SIAC to date (a US$3 billion claim). However, one of the most satisfying aspects of my career has been the client recall and appreciation that my team and I have received. My team has been blessed to have many clients, and opposing parties in some instances, who, based on their experience with us, have come back for advice on other matters.

Besides focusing on my client mandates, I also manage some time to remain an active member of the arbitration community in Singapore, and am involved with arbitration related institutions like the CIArb, SIArb, YSIAC and ICC-YAF. I also sit on SIAC's reserve panel of arbitrators and accept arbitrator appointments.

  • Advised a group of international Private Equity investors in a potential dispute with an Indian fund manager.
