About Me

I am a senior associate in our Commercial group in The Hague where I specialise in advice and litigation relating to AI, Data and Technology. I am a member of our Artificial Intelligence, Data Protection and Tech & Comms groups. I am also a PhD Researcher in the field of AI regulation.

I mainly provide advice to and litigate for clients on AI matters, with a special focus on European AI regulation. Additionally, I have experience in a broad range of technology and data related matters, data protection and data regulation, IT and platform liability and online safety.

In my practice, I enjoy combining the strategic and practical with the academic and theoretical. I have been able to gain a good understanding of the practical and strategic issues that companies face thanks to among others my in-house experiences with a social media platform and an international payment services provider. I am currently training my academic and theoretical skills by undertaking PhD research in the field of AI at the iHub (the interdisciplinary centre for digitalisation) of the Radboud University.

My ancillary activities include being a board member for the Dutch Association of AI Attorneys (VAIA). I also frequently speak internationally, teach and write about (mainly) AI related topics.
