With significant 'in-house' experience, Emily offers clients commercial and practical advice
Emily is an associate in our International HR Services Group, based in London.
Advising on a broad range of employment law matters, Emily is experienced in both contentious and non-contentious work. Her experience includes drafting service agreements (including restrictive covenants), negotiating executive severances and settlement agreements and advising on litigation in the Employment Tribunals and High Court. Emily is a member of our International Trade Secrets Protection Group and advises clients on protecting trade secrets and confidential information. She also has extensive experience of advising on the employment aspects of cross-border corporate transactions and TUPE issues on business transfers and outsourcings in both the public and private sectors.
Emily has spent 18 months on secondment to a multinational listed company where she advised on a wide variety of HR matters (including complex disciplinary and grievance situations), regularly instructed overseas counsel, presented HR training sessions and assisted with handling individual and collective redundancies. She has also spent 15 months on secondment to Yahoo! where she was the sole in-house employment lawyer for the UK and had responsibility for coordinating Yahoo's EMEA employment law advice.
Emily qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined the International HR Services group in August 2011, having first studied Social & Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge before converting to law.
