UK Government “has no plans” to implement the Copyright Directive

The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, on 26 March 2020 outlined enhancements in relation to public services and business support, to provide an economic response, which “will be one of the most comprehensive in the world”. These enhancements have been further expanded over the following weeks, and April has provided additional announcements and guidance on how the various schemes will operate as the lockdown continues into May. 

More announcements on funding for medium and large businesses were announced at the beginning of April, along with further updates to the Job Retention Scheme which launches on 20 April.
