I'm a leading telecoms and media lawyer at Bird & Bird in The Netherlands. Based in The Hague, I am a partner in our Commercial, Regulatory and Data Protection Groups, and a member of our Tech & Comms, Media and Life Sciences Groups.

Recently the seventh edition of the Press & Publishers Seminar took place in the Hague. Due to COVID-19, our yearly Seminar was brought via a Live Webinar.

As always, Bird & Bird’s Media lawyers discussed a wide range of topical subjects: A draft report on a European civil liability regime for artificial intelligence has recently been presented to the Commission as part of an effort to develop an EU-framework. The Croatian Presidency proposed substantial amendments to the ePrivacy Regulation on 21 February, which has seen little progress since due to the COVID-19 developments. What are the implications of the Tom Kabinet Judgement of the European Court of Justice for publishers?
