About Me

I advise clients on complex, cross-border commercial transactions and regulatory compliance issues in the Retail and Consumer sector and the Sports sector.

I support consumer brands in a variety of sectors on how they sell, market and otherwise interact with consumers in the UK and across Europe. I co-ordinate our European Consumer Law Group and work closely with consumer-facing clients that are launching in Europe on how to transact with consumers in a way that complies with consumer protection legislation, local regulations and market practice.

My experience includes supporting consumer businesses on cross-border projects in the technology, sports, media, retail, gaming, financial services, hotel and leisure, aviation, automotive, FinTech and healthcare sectors. I also have deep expertise in advising online platforms.

Additionally, I work closely with clients in the Sports sector on their commercial projects, with particular expertise in sponsorship, licensing, media rights and event staging. I've spent around 18 months on secondment to Arsenal FC and understand the commercial objectives of sports organisations.
  • Supporting consumer-facing businesses on their cross-border European consumer law issues, including drafting consumer terms and advising on regulatory compliance, such as recently advising airlines, financial services institutions, sports organisations, online platforms and games publishers.
  • Advising consumer brands on their appointment of social media influencers, including recently advising WD-40 and Sunday Riley.
  • Acting for Chelsea FC on its technical partnership agreement with Nike pursuant to which Chelsea appointed Nike as its kit supplier to, and sponsor of, the club's teams, granted merchandising rights and outsourced the operation of the club's global e-commerce platform and physical retail sites.
  • Acting for The Stronach Group on the launch of its international media and wagering rights business for North American horse racing and greyhound racing.
  • Acting for Arsenal FC on its appointment of Puma as technical partner which was, at the time, a record-breaking deal in the Premier League and for the club. In addition, I have acted for the club on several global and regional partnership deals, licensing arrangements and catering supply arrangements.
