Róbert Cuperka

I'm an Associate and member of our Technology & Communications and Intellectual Property Groups, based in our Bratislava office.

My primary focus is IP/IT law, commercial law and regulatory affairs, including new areas of technology and fast growth tech issues. In addition, I use my experience of complex legal strategy to advise clients in the life sciences, healthcare, gambling, technology and other industries. I guide our clients in intellectual property litigations and protect their business interests.

I have advised clients who include international and local market-leading companies, as well as government and European institutions. My ambition is to provide the best and most suitable advice to our clients in a pragmatic, solution-driven and innovative manner.

Bird & Bird has been recognized by our clients as a great international team. Frequently, I provide advice in connection with multi-jurisdictional projects for companies with multinational operations, including M&A transactions and the implementation of global business strategies and risk management.

I also have extensive experience in dealing with the day-to-day commercial issues that companies face such as regulatory, contract management, outsourcing, process infrastructure, advertising, AML compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, product liability and employment related issues.

Before joining Bird & Bird in 2016, I worked for a reputable local Slovak law firm. Prior to that I had work experience from a prosecutor's office in Bratislava and a law firm in Birmingham, UK.
