Rebeka Szopkó

As a Trainee Associate in our employment and corporate/M&A teams in Budapest, I have experience in transaction matters.

When I started university, I was interested in most legal fields and decided that I would like to have experience from all legal areas to choose the one, that best suits me. Therefore, I worked at criminal and private law offices, at the Hungarian Parliament and an insurance company, when I decided that I would like to work at a private law firm.

I took an active part in the university's student association life as the secretary of Student's Scientific Association of Civil Law Department and demonstrator of Roman Law and Comparative Legal History Department. I gained the National Higher Education Scholarship. Besides that, I attended Mathias Corvinus Collegium's Law School and Leadership Academy's courses and coordinated various projects.

I get to know Bird & Bird through Nagy László Private Law Debate, gaining a special prize in 2018 and first prize and the opportunity to work as a summer trainee at Bird & Bird Budapest Office in 2019.

Besides my Hungarian native language, I am fluent in English, I have a good understanding of German and I have started to learn Mandarin.
