Dr. Philipp Niggl

As an associate in our Munich office, I advise national and international clients on all aspects of trademark, unfair competition, design and copyright law as well as on matters at the interface between IP, unfair competition and regulatory law in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector.

I specialise in advising clients on strategic issues and litigation matters. I represent the interests of our clients, who range from global corporations to innovative start-ups, in substantial and complex litigation before civil and administrative courts.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I worked for several years as in-house counsel for the IP department of a large German research institution. I studied law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and the KU Leuven in Belgium. Furthermore, I completed my PhD at the Universität Passau.
