Maximiliane Stöckel

As a founding member of our German IP Practice Group, I am an experienced trademark lawyer focusing on global brand strategy and management. I am an Of Counsel in our Düsseldorf team and member of our international IP practice group, in which I was a Partner until 2017.

My practice covers the full spectrum of services for global players with international IP portfolios. I provide advice on establishing and maintaining IP rights, including pre-filing advice, availability searches, application to registration proceedings, opposition and invalidation proceedings, monitoring services and advice on streamlining IP portfolios.

I share this experience with law firms by giving advice when setting up own brand management practice.

I also act as a mediator in alternative dispute resolution cases and – on a pro-bono basis – in the field of intercultural dispute resolution.

As well as acting as the editor of a trademark and design compendium, I play an active role on the committees of various international associations including the International Trademark Association (INTA) and MARQUES - the Association of European Trademark Owners.
