About Me

I am a counsel in the Tech & Comms team, based in Singapore and Sydney. I advise a broad spectrum of clients across APAC on all aspects of technology, media and telecoms law.

My clients range from large multinational corporations and fast-growth technology companies, through to start-ups expanding in the APAC region.

In particular, I advise clients across a broad range of industries on complex commercial transactions with a focus on technology. I advise regularly on sourcing and outsourcing, software development and licensing, and strategic collaborations and partnerships.

I also have extensive experience advising on data protection and cybersecurity matters. This includes assisting with regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, designing internal policies, helping companies prepare for and respond to data or cybersecurity incidents, and engaging with regulators on policy submissions and in the event of breach.

In addition, I advise both traditional and new media companies, as well as tech companies moving into the media space, on content compliance, licensing, and regulation. This is a particular exciting sector in a world of digitisation and content proliferation.

I truly believe that tech and comms is one of the most dynamic areas of law, as the law tries to keep up with the constant evolution of technology. In this digital world, we help our clients navigate the legal landscape so that you can focus on the thing that matters most – growing your business.

Legal 500 Asia Pacific, 2022

'Loren Leung is very responsive and has demonstrated a firm grasp of the issues. She is my go-to lawyer for regional data protection issues and is a reliable sounding board for tricky cross-border issues. She is able to triage issues quickly and I have full confidence in having her liaise directly with my internal clients. Loren is also able to manage complex multi-jurisdictional advice efficiently and effectively, which has been invaluable in supporting me across the region – often on a time-critical basis. Loren also has a deep understanding of the business and always provides relevant, actionable advice which considers the practical issues as well as the legal issues.'
