As a partner at Bird & Bird in Helsinki, I specialise in corporate and venture capital transactions as well as commercial contracts.

I have more than 15 years' experience in advising on and negotiating a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including M&A, venture capital and private equity transactions, capital market transactions, corporate governance, equity based incentives, and commercial contracts.

I work mostly for technology companies, ranging from startups to global, publicly listed companies. I also advise clients, for example, in the financial services, cleantech and life sciences sectors.

I have a special focus on startup and growth companies, as well as VC and other investors investing in such companies. I have advised many high-growth companies during their entire life cycle, from formation through funding rounds and day-to-day corporate and commercial matters until exit. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most successful Finnish growth companies and being involved with some of the largest funding rounds and exit transactions in the Finnish market during the past 15 years, advising both target companies as well as investors and acquirers. In 2018 I advised clients in a majority of the published funding rounds where the round size exceeded 10 million EUR in Finland.

In addition to my Finnish law degree and bar admission, I have also an LL.M. degree from the Columbia University and I am a member of the New York State Bar. Consequently, I regularly advise international and particularly US companies in their Finnish investments and acquisitions.
