Julia Kostrzewa

I am a Junior Associate in the Intellectual Property team.

I have been advising clients since 2018. I specialise in intellectual property law, with my primary focus on trademark and design law, copyright law, combating unfair competition and protecting other intangible assets.

I complete pre-trial activities and take part in litigation before the civil, commercial and intellectual property courts in Poland. I participate in opposition and cancellation proceedings for trademarks and industrial designs, both in Poland and in the European Union. I provide assistance to the relevant departments of the European Union Intellectual Property Office in complaint proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union.

I also develop strategies for protecting intellectual property, analyse infringements, and conduct risk assessments on the use of intangible assets.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I gained professional experience in renowned Polish law firms, the Polish Patent Office, and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
