I am a partner in the Energy & Utilities Group in our Warsaw office, focused on regulatory challenges and business opportunities connected with technologically driven green transformation.

At Bird & Bird, together with our Energy & Utilities team, I support a range of domestic and international clients, including energy companies active on every stage of the value creation chain in the energy sector (i.e. electric energy - both renewable and conventional, fuels and heat), utilities, energy-intensive off-takers (including representatives of steel, metals, glass, cement or paper sector), financial institutions and investors willing to seek their business opportunities in the extremely interesting yet demanding Polish energy market in times of disruption.

Together with my trusted team, we support clients in a variety of transactional and regulatory challenges that they meet in the ever-evolving business environment. In our daily practice we focus not only on widely understood energy-sector regulation and regulation-based aspects of investment projects and transactions, but also on energy efficiency, costs optimisation in energy-intensive industries, innovations, climate change and the EU emission trading scheme, dedicated state aid and EU Funds and parts of the regulatory framework requiring highly specialised knowledge of technical and economic issues (e.g. commercial balancing, system elasticity, functioning of grid infrastructure or environmental benchmarking).

We also rely on our legal knowledge and consulting experience in complex projects concerning implementing innovative low-emission technologies, novel business models and structures, and construction of sustainability strategies.
