Furat is an associate in our International HR Services Group, based in London.

Advising on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, Furat has acted for clients operating across a number of sectors, including global financial institutions and multinational corporates.

Furat's experience includes drafting and negotiating settlement agreements and employment contracts, reviewing and updating employment policies/handbooks and advising on the employment aspects of large cross-border corporate transactions, including TUPE issues on business transfers and outsourcings.

She has also provided strategic advice for clients in relation to Employment Tribunal proceedings. Her recent casework includes claims relating to unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination. She has also advised clients in relation to alternative dispute resolution, including the mediation of employment disputes.

In addition to the above, Furat has spent 18 months on part-time secondment to a prominent newspaper group where she advised on a wide variety of employment matters including complex disciplinary and grievance issues and other ordinary day-to-day HR queries.

Furat qualified as a solicitor in March 2014, having studied Law with Law Studies in Europe at the University of Oxford. She joined the International HR Services Group in February 2016, prior to which she worked for a Magic Circle firm, also based in London.
