I am an associate in our Intellectual Property department, specialising in brand management with a particular focus on trade marks and designs.
In an ever-changing and complicated marketplace, where brand dilution, counterfeit products, online infringements and legal changes are prevalent, I understand how important it is to enforce, exploit and protect design and trade mark rights.
I have experience in assisting clients across a broad range of industries and stages, advising on a brand's full lifecycle; from clearance searches, brand audits, development and expansion, registration, multi-jurisdiction filing projects, regulatory compliance through to licensing and dispute resolution.
My approach is to provide clients with thorough and transparent advice which is aligned with their business strategy and ambitions. I recognise that not every brand is the same and expose myself to the realities of clients' industries to understand how they can thrive in their market in both the short and long term.
I am a contributor to the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys Journal commenting on up-to-date case law and am also a contributor to Bird & Bird's international brands publication 'BrandWrites'.
Outside of work I run a community football team, co-lead a community youth choir, host events and in those quiet moments on a weekend can be found strumming on my acoustic guitar or practising Spanish.
