Baptist provides advice to clients in a wide range of EU and competition law as well as EU trade law matters.
Baptist is an associate in our Competition & EU Law practice, based in Belgium. His practice covers all areas of EU and Belgian competition law. He also advises and represents clients in EU trade defence matters.
Prior to joining us in 2018, Baptist worked as an associate at another leading international law firm (based in Brussels and Amsterdam), where he advised clients on a broad range of competition law matters, focusing in particular on State aid issues and merger control (including representation before the Belgian Competition Authority and the European Commission). He has also obtained considerable experience in sector-specific regulation.
Since 2017, Baptist has been a teaching assistant at the Institute for European Law at KU Leuven.
He has been a member of the Brussels bar since 2014.
Baptist obtained a Master's degree in Law at KU Leuven. He also obtained an LL.M in the European Master of Law and Economics programme.
Baptist speaks Dutch, English, French and German. He also has elementary knowledge of Italian and Arabic.
