I work as a Senior Associate in our Corporate Transactions and Corporate Law group in Helsinki. I assist both domestic and international clients with mergers, acquisitions, and corporate law assignments.

International law firm Bird & Bird acted as legal advisor to Sponosa Group Oy, a portfolio company of the private equity firm Sponsor Capital, in a transaction where Suomen Kulutusosa Oy and Airfil Oy join forces.

Suomen Kulutusosa, part of the Sponosa Group, provides spare and wear parts, in particular for crushing, infrastructure and road maintenance operators. Airfil manufactures filter solutions for industrial applications, and machinery and equipment manufacturers. After the transaction, Suomen Kulutusosa and Airfil continue to operate within the group and will be able to offer a wider range of products to their customers.

The Bird & Bird team was led by partner Mikko Ahonen, supported by associate Katariina Leino. Additionally, the team included associates Noora Heinonen, Jennika Sucksdorff and Niilo Salminen
