EU legislation update (October 2020)

In the run-up to the European Parliament plenary vote on the Digital Services Act reports, we provide an overview of the main of MEPs for new the regulation of the digital services. The prepared regulation will be one the most important legislative proposal for the digital economy since the e-Commerce Directive in 2000. 

For Telecommunication sector we bring you the summary of the recent ruling by the EU's highest court on net neutrality and zero-rated subscriptions, as well as the summary of EU’s Recommendations on a common Union toolbox for reducing the cost of deploying very high capacity networks. 
 
For audiovisual media service providers we provide an overview of the state of implementation of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive.
