Different leave entitlements attract different legal treatments, and navigating the legal labyrinth surrounding an employee’s leaves (ranging from annual leaves, rest days, public holidays to leaves of absence) has always posed practical challenges for employers. Due to the pandemic, travel is hugely restricted and organisations have found their employees stranded abroad, which introduce further nuances to the already complex landscape.

In this webinar, Stephanie Wong, Managing Associate and Jenny Kwan, Associate of our Hong Kong Employment Team will provide a refresher on the various types of leaves, their relevant treatments and discuss the current trends and complexities in managing an employee’s leaves and absences.
