Employment Immigration

(rather long-term with a possibility to renew passes, subject to meeting relevant renewal criteria)

Employment Pass

For foreign professionals, managers and executives. Candidates need to earn the prescribed qualifying monthly salary and pass a Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS).

COMPASS is a point-based system that scores candidates on 4 foundational criteria (Salary, Qualifications, Diversity and Support for Local Employment) along with 2 bonus criteria (Skills Bonus and Strategic Economic Priorities Bonus).

Candidates who do not meet the qualifying monthly salary will not be eligible for an Employment Pass regardless of the points they would have scored under COMPASS.

S Pass

For skilled workers (Associate Professionals and Technicians (APTs)) who may not meet the criteria for Employment Passes, subject to a quota. New candidates need to earn a qualifying salary which is benchmarked against the top one-third of the local APTs' salaries by age. The duration of stay for such work passes is up to 2 years.

EntrePass

For foreign entrepreneurs who are keen to start and operate a business in Singapore that is venture-backed or possesses innovative technologies.

While new pass holders and the first-year renewal are for a year, subsequent renewals are for 2 years. Renewals will be subject to candidates meeting the relevant renewal criteria.

Personalised Employment Pass

For high-earning existing Employment Pass holders or overseas foreign professionals.

Passholders have generally more perks than Employment Pass holders (i.e., Flexibility to hold employment in any sector, ability to remain in Singapore for up to 6 months without employment to search for new employment, not required to reapply for work pass if there is a change of employment).

Candidates must earn a fixed monthly salary of at least S$22,500.

Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass

For top talent in business, arts and culture, sports, as well as academia and research.

Requirements include a fixed monthly salary of S$30,000 under an employer for the past year or prospective employer based in Singapore, or outstanding achievements in certain sectors (i.e., sports, arts & culture, academia and research).

This pass is renewable for 5 years each time, subject to relevant renewal criteria.
