I am a lawyer in our Danish data protection team, where I provide advisory on data protection and privacy with a focus on getting the legal requirements to work in practice.
In our digital society, technology is rapidly and constantly evolving, and so are the challenges and issues around protection of data and personal data, which is exactly what I enjoy doing - finding solutions that work in practice.
I have worked with GDPR as in-house Legal Counsel and Compliance Manager in both public, private and international companies since 2016. Here I have had the pleasure of implementing GDPR in the companies from scratch, as well as operating and maintaining the ongoing compliance work, which means that I have tried most GDPR challenges on my own body.
I am therefore used to working with a lot of different people with different backgrounds and expertise, which has taught me how to communicate legal requirements in a practical and tangible way. In addition, I have also been involved in different types of GDPR audits and therefore have broad experience in how to document compliance.
My interest in GDPR started during law school, where I wrote my thesis on GDPR in 2015 - which paved the way for my choice of work area.
Since 2019 I have been a certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and since 2020 I have been a certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). In 2024 I obtained certification in Cybersecurity (ISC2 CC).
