I am a Senior Associate at Bird & Bird with expertise in competition law and telecommunications regulation. Usually based in Bird & Bird's Sydney office, I am currently on secondment in the firm's London office.
My work covers all aspects of competition law, including merger clearance, cartel investigations, and access matters. I also provide competition law compliance training to help executives and in-house counsel understand and navigate competition law risks in their businesses.
I have complementary expertise in telecommunications regulation and advise a broad range of communications providers on issues including licensing, lawful interception and data access, numbering, and spectrum use. I have particular expertise in relation to cloud-hosted communications products, especially Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) solutions.
I particularly enjoy working with clients to guide them through complex multi-jurisdictional matters. Whether co-ordinating global merger clearance or helping telecoms clients to operate within disparate regulatory regimes across geographies, collaborating with lawyers across our offices highlights the depth and breadth of the expertise at Bird & Bird.
Prior to my admission as a lawyer, I worked in policy and legislative monitoring and reporting in the Press Gallery at Parliament House, Canberra. As a regulatory lawyer, I continue to benefit from this experience when advising clients on navigating complex and evolving regulatory frameworks, particularly in fast-moving sectors like tech and communications.
