About Me

I am an Associate in our Intellectual Property group in London. I work with clients across a range of sectors and intellectual property rights, with a particular focus on patents and the international enforcement of intellectual property rights.

I have a strong scientific background which allows me to understand the challenges faced by science and other innovation-driven businesses. I hold a PhD in environmental microbiology, during which I worked with a leading science-based agritech company on a multi-disciplinary project investigating the impact of light on soil biology and the environmental fate of pesticides. This background allows me to provide technical input on matters which have scientific components, and my patent related experience ranges from communication protocols and equipment (both SEPs and implementation patents), medical devices, and genome editing biotechnology.

Many of the matters that I am involved with involve a cross-border element - I enjoy the collaborative nature of such projects and have a good relationship with international colleagues. Having been involved in matters spanning 20 different jurisdictions, I appreciate the nuances between different legal systems and how different approaches can be employed to achieve the same aims for clients.
