Maria Najfeld

I am a junior associate in our White Collar Crime team in Warsaw.

I have been advising clients since 2022, specialising in criminal and corporate law and compliance.

I provide day-to-day assistance with criminal corporate and litigation proceedings, both on the victim's and defendant's side. I participate in projects involving detecting and preventing abuse of power by members of governing bodies. I advise on liability of collective entities, protection of whistleblowers, prevention of cybercrimes, fraud and corruption and counteracting money laundering and terrorism financing.

I assist clients with their internal inquiries in cases of suspected crimes within business organisations and participate in designing rules of compliance.

I am a regular participant in scientific conferences and trainings involving broadly understood criminal and corporate law and commercial law.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I gained my professional experience in several law firms and the Criminal Law Team of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights.
