Jane Brassington

I am a partner in our Corporate Group, based in London. I specialise in transactional corporate work for clients, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and general company law advice.

I have extensive experience acting for clients across a broad range of sectors with particular focus on corporate real estate and energy.

I have a strong knowledge of the corporate real estate sector having worked on multiple joint ventures, sales and acquisitions of commercial and residential sites across the UK for developers and investors. In the energy sector I have worked on acquisitions, investments and joint ventures with a particular focus on battery storage and renewable energy.

In addition, I work closely with clients in the technology sector on a variety of transactions, most recently including a first private equity funding round for a retail software business and the acquisition of an app business for a financial services business.

I enjoy developing meaningful working relationships with clients. I lead my team from the front and find it very rewarding to work collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. Clients appreciate my commercial advice balanced with attention to detail as well as my proactive approach to driving transactions forward.

• Advised a developer client on a joint venture with a social impact investor relating to a residential site in London.
• Advised a joint venture entity comprised of high-net-worth individuals on the acquisition of a battery storage project in Cornwall.
• Advised an investor on the acquisition of battery storage projects with total energy storage capacity of over 1 GWh across the UK.
• Advised a developer client on its joint venture partnership with a Singaporean investor in respect of a circa 14 acre site in London for the development of as a residential led mixed use scheme.
• Advised a retail software business on first round private equity investment.
