About Me

I am a senior associate in our Dispute Resolution Group in Sydney, specialising in media and technology disputes, commercial litigation and privacy and cybersecurity advisory work.

Since coming to Bird & Bird I have played a key role in a range of commercial litigation matters, having assisted with (by way of example) drafting court documents, preparing evidence and discovery in various disputes, including a defamation dispute in the Federal Court, a shareholder class action in the Victorian Supreme Court and multiple IT contract disputes.

With a background in commercial litigation and technology, media and telecommunications advisory work, I regularly work with our data protection team (including the international team on cross-border advisory matters) and have considerable experience advising on privacy and cybersecurity matters (both contentious and not contentious). Some examples of work I have done in this space include advising on:

litigation risk in respect of data breaches;
regulatory investigations; and
compliance with Australian privacy, surveillance and cyber laws.

As I regularly work across both the dispute resolution and data protection practices, I have a particular interest in their intersection and regularly write updates regarding the development of data litigation in Australia. Some examples of these publications are below.
