Dr. Matthias Adenauer

I work as an associate in the Corporate/M&A practice group in Frankfurt and advise national and international clients on M&A transactions, joint ventures, restructurings, and reorganisations.

My work includes advising clients on national and cross-border M&A transactions as well as on corporate law and transaction-related issues. One focus is on transactions involving companies with a technology focus. Clients include, in particular, companies and investors from the automotive, technology and communications, software and healthcare sectors.

I studied law in Munich, Hong Kong and Cologne. I completed my legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, with stages at an international law firm in Cologne and the German Trade Office in Taipei. I obtained an LL.M. from the University of Hong Kong (Baker & McKenzie Leung Cheuk Yan Prize) and a doctorate from the University of Cologne. Before joining Bird & Bird, I worked as an associate in an international law firm in Cologne.
