As a member of our Life Sciences and Healthcare Sector Group, I specialise in pharmaceutical and medical devices law, focusing on market access, pricing and reimbursement strategies.
With over 10 years of experience in law firms and as an in-house Legal Counsel for a U.S. biopharmaceutical company, I possess a deep understanding of the complexities within the healthcare industry. It is my passion to make legal questions understandable, ensuring that my clients are equipped with the knowledge and clarity needed to navigate the legal landscape effectively.My experience includes conducting price negotiations with payers, offering expertise on distribution models and contracts, and providing strategic counsel on tender proceedings for pharmaceutical companies as well as statutory health insurance providers. I have a strong focus on the complex regulatory framework governing biotherapeutics and advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs).
Additionally, I advise on contractual agreements and compliance within the healthcare sector, with a particular emphasis on engaging healthcare professionals and establishing collaborations with healthcare organisations. I also provide guidance on advertising law, particularly concerning patient engagement initiatives and disease awareness campaigns.
My focus in the field of medical devices is on market access issues, particularly for innovative technologies such as mHealth. In this context, I advise on classification issues, integration into the remuneration systems of statutory health insurance, digital health applications (DiGAs), and the associated compliance requirements, among other things.
