About Me

I am an associate in our Media, Entertainment and Sport practice, based in Sydney.

I have always been fascinated by the dynamic and fast-paced nature of the media, entertainment and sport industries. I enjoy working with clients who are passionate about what they do and who face complex and evolving legal challenges.

I have worked with a range of clients including national and international sports governing bodies, professional sporting teams, event organisers, player associations and athletes. I have assisted these clients across a number of commercial matters, including assisting with media rights agreements and advising on the proprietary rights in relation to intellectual property assets.

I have also spent time on secondment to a national sports governing body, where I assisted in the regulatory space relating to their national professional sports league. This involved liaising with stakeholders when drafting and issuing sanctions to players and team officials for misconduct in league games, as well as preparing and administering tribunal hearings, instructing counsel on behalf of the governing body in respect of tribunal hearings, and drafting and issuing press releases on their outcomes.

Prior to joining the Media, Entertainment and Sport practice, I rotated in the Technology & Communications, Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution, and Employment practice groups in the Sydney office. Across these practice groups I have assisted in both advisory and litigious matters, including assisting in preparing and drafting documents for two different NSW Court of Appeal hearings.

Before working at Bird & Bird, I worked at a Big 4 Australian bank assisting regular customers and small businesses, which has helped me develop a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
