Tomasz Zalewski

I am a Partner in the Commercial team in Warsaw. My expertise spans from government contracts, IT implementation, and licensing agreements, to technology related disputes.

I have advised on numerous large scale IT projects, involving comprehensive implementation of complex software in both traditional and SaaS models.

I advise on all aspects of public procurement law, and represent clients in procurement disputes before the National Appeal Chamber and the courts. I have particular experience advising on infrastructure and IT projects, representing both contractors and contracting authorities.

Many of my clients are companies within the IT and technology sectors, although I also work with clients in the healthcare, energy, industrial automation, defence, and retail & consumer space.

My professional interests include legal aspects of the application of the latest technologies, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and cybersecurity. I have significant experience of advising tech start-ups.

I am an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration of the Audiovisual Market at the Polish Audiovisual Producers Chamber of Commerce, and an expert at the Council of the Polish IT and Telecommunications Chamber. I also serve as an expert for the European Assistance for Innovation Procurement initiative.

I am recognised by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal as a leading individual in TMT, IP and public procurement.
