I am an experienced corporate lawyer with extensive experience in local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions in energy & utilities and real estate & infrastructure, as well as in public projects. I am the joint managing partner of our Singapore office.
Today, I provide advice to government agencies, regulators, multinationals and international organisations. I routinely advise on corporate restructures and transactions, and advise on post-merger integration. I handle a large number of transactions for utility and infrastructure projects, technical and IT contracts, public procurement and tenders, state leasing work, as well as strata management in Singapore and across the Asia Pacific region.
I also act as the legal adviser to a number of local regulators including the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, the Building & Construction Authority, Jurong Town Corporation, the People's Association, and the National Arts Council.
I have advised on a number of innovative public projects in Singapore, such as the first EPC template contract for energy conservation, electricity futures, contestability, energy storage testbeds; the first sectoral competition appeal in the gas sector and the first tri-generation project. I also advised on Singapore's first LNG terminal as well as the iconic SportsHub PPP project.
As well as speaking at professional events covering energy, competition and corporate governance, I sit on the council of the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), the Energy Studies Institute (ESI) and the Waste Management & Recycling Association of Singapore (WMRAS) and on the board of two local charities. I am the appointed legal advisor to Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) and Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC).
