Nick is an associate in our Commercial Group, based in London.
He advises on a range of commercial contracts focusing on the retail and consumer, technology and education sectors. Nick has worked with UK and international clients on a wide range of commercial areas, including advising, drafting and negotiating franchising, distribution and agency agreements and other hybrid growth strategies. He also advises on the supply of products and services, e-commerce terms, software licensing and other technology-based solutions. He regularly works with lawyers in other jurisdictions to ensure agreements and structures comply with local regulations.
Nick's recent project experience includes working as part of a team providing drafting and strategic legal support to a major retail business on a webstore development agreement for several countries across the Middle East, and advising a multinational workspace provider on their international development strategy and in-country licensing arrangements.
He has been on secondment to our Brussels office, where he worked with the competition team across a broad range of sectors including technology, automotive and aviation.
Nick has published articles in the International Journal of Franchising Law, and authored chapters in The Franchise Law Review on Africa and Kazakhstan.
After training with us, Nick qualified into the Commercial group in September 2015. As well as working in the Commercial department during his training, Nick worked in the employment and dispute-resolution departments.
