I'm an associate in our Commercial Group in London and a member of our Retail & Consumer, Hotels & Leisure and International Education sector teams.
I primarily help consumer-facing brands to get their products to market, and to expand their business domestically and internationally. I have supported a range of clients, from early-stage ventures, to SMEs, to established multinationals.
In the Retail & Consumer sector, I advise luxury, fashion, retail and food & beverage clients on the contractual arrangements that enable them to enter new channels, markets and territories – including franchising, distribution, agency, product supply and e-commerce agreements. I also advise on supply chain arrangements – including manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics agreements.
In the Hotels & Leisure sector, I have helped draft, review and negotiate a number of hotel management agreements and franchise agreements, as well as other commercial agreements relating to hotels – including food & beverage consultancy, interior design, and technical services agreements.
In the International Education sector, I have assisted a number of British schools to establish themselves overseas in collaboration with local partners, particularly in China, and have drafted and negotiated the contracts which underpin these expansion projects.
Alongside advising clients, I have also written a number of articles on franchising law, including for the International Journal of Franchising Law, Franchise World and Lexology, among others.
Before joining Bird & Bird, I spent 2 years working in the advertising and marketing industry, where I developed the interest in brands and consumer-facing industries that I have since carried across to my legal career.
