My practice is intellectual property, particularly the protection and exploitation of innovation and information.

This led me to develop a passion and solid experience in protecting trade secrets. I provide legal and strategic advice to companies that want to protect and enhance their know-how.

Among the projects I have handled in this area, I like to mention the creation of a package of services for the identification and protection of secrets with the increasing support of technology and artificial intelligence.

My first and most significant area of specialisation remains patent litigation, especially in the areas of electronics, telecommunications (including so-called Standard Essential Patents) and life sciences (medical devices and pharmaceuticals).

I also assist several clients in the management and defense of their trademark and design portfolios.

I am a member of several associations of lawyers specialising in intellectual property: EPLAW, LES Italy and Camera Avvocati Industrialisti.

I have authored publications related to trade secrets and regularly attend seminars and conferences on the subject.

I helped create the NEXT® project, a training program focused on soft skills dedicated to the next generation of general counsels.

I joined Bird & Bird in 2007 as an intern and was promoted to partner in 2021.

• Representing both patent owners and implementers in litigation related to Standard Essential Patents.
• Assisting pharmaceutical and medical device companies in patent litigation.
• Supporting small, medium and large companies in any industry in identifying and protecting confidential information and trade secrets. This activity ranges from providing legal and strategic advisory services to litigation following unauthorised data acquisition.
• I have been cooperating for more than 10 years with a Japanese company, leading in the digital entertainment industry, in counter-piracy activities, with a focus on devices aimed at circumventing technological protection measures implemented on consoles and video games. My support includes surveillance activities, civil litigation, management of relations with Italian customs and criminal courts.
• I support a multinational company specialising in optical, imaging and industrial products in the protection of its patent portfolio, implementing a structured anti-counterfeiting strategy that includes market monitoring and subsequent litigation.
• I assist a leading company in the beverages sector in anti-counterfeiting activities for its trademarks, working with customs and criminal judicial authorities and representing the client in civil litigation.
